Policies:
-
Well behaved dogs are welcomed (small fee applies). Dogs must
remain in compliance with Maine’s Leash Law at all times (unless hunting).
Dog owners are expected to clean up after their pets if they do their
business in the mowed camp yard, trails, or driveway. Shovels and trowels
are available for such tasks, please ask. Other pets may be accepted. Please
inquire in advance regarding other pets.
-
We do not provide Wi-Fi or internet service. We encourage guests to respect
our electronic free camp yard zone which starts in the parking lot.
Electronic devices when used sparingly should be kept in the cabins with low
volumes so they cannot be heard outside of the cabin walls. Cell phone and
blackberry ringers should be set to vibrate or turned off when in the
campground. We feel this enhances the atmosphere we are trying to create of
solitude and escape away from mainstream pressures and life.
-
Quiet Time: We ask that all guests begin winding down as it grows dark.
Absolute quiet is requested at 10 pm
-
Recycling garbage and composting kitchen waste in the cabins is mandatory.
Please read the information posted in the cabins or ask us if you have
questions.
-
We encourage a carry in carry out policy for all your outdoor excursions
away from the campground. Help keep Maine clean, no littering. Cigarette
butts should also be carrriedback to camp to be disposed of in the ash trays
if needed.
-
No motorized boats over 10 hp are allowed to launch in the pond. Jet skis and
towing items prohibited.
-
We strive for a family friendly atmosphere; because of this alcoholic
beverages are allowed inside the cabins and porches only. You are welcome
to drink and be merry inside the cabins, as long as you do not disturb other
guests.
-
Smokers are welcome. However, smoking is discouraged in outdoor/indoor areas
of the facility where children may be present. Please do not throw cigarette
butts out your car window, boat, or into the woods or lawn of the campyard-
bring them back to camp to dispose of in the ash trays if needed.
-
Loud, aggressive or unruly behavior will not be tolerated of guests or dogs
and the offending parties will be asked to leave and will be responsible to
pay in full for their scheduled stay.
-
No tenting or RV camping.
-
This is the north woods a wild and large place. For your safety and the
safety of the wild flora and fauna children and dogs should not be left
unattended in cabins or in the campground. If needed we will provide
contacts for local baby or dog sitters who can provide care while parents
take a breather.
